Description
Very fine cup form Shenango China, New Castle PA, circa 1920s.
Has the Pennsylvania Dept of Health  insignia on front.
Not sure what this cup would have been used for.  There is no handle.  Perhaps just a souvenir.
Green rim and insignia.  2-5/8 dia x 2-1/2 ht - base bows out slightly to 2-7/8"
This cup is very solid and much heavier than say a tea cup would be.
Clear mark on bottom, although the "made for" information is missing the 4th line.
Overall in EX condition - there is one tiny nick on the green rim, although I'm not convinced this is damage.
It may be a tiny factory defect.  I can feel the nick when I run my finger around the rim.
The mark is visible on the photo of the cup with the insignia facing right.
